Not sure what blogging application to use? You can get a rough idea what’s going on by looking at the trends:

See a poll on problogger or lifehacker, blogginpro even asks, if blogging and WordPress have become synonymous. There are also detailed comparison charts of the functionality. You can build a customized comparison chart.

And, for you as a web developer, what about the possibilities to extend your favourite blogging CMS?
